My Favorite Quotes

Hey Everyone,

Today I was talking on the phone (still am :P) with my beautiful sister/bestie and I kept telling her random quotes that kept poping into my head. She told me that I should write about all my favorite quotes (I can't name all my faves, that would take up my whole blog page). I'm gonna share some that stand out to me and that I can think of off the top of my head. Here you go:

"Heavens not a place that you go when you die, its that moment in life where you actually feel alive...." - A Song

"Always ask for what you want even if there is no chance of getting it." - Ms. Donaldson

"Do what is right because it is right" - Letters To Iwo Jima

"Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today."- James Dean (American motion picture actor, symbol of rebellion, 1931-1955)

"Laugh as much as you breathe and love as long as you live."

"It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return, but what is the most painful is to love someone and never find the courage to let the person know how you feel."

"Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending." -Maria Robinson

"Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams." -Ashley Smith

"To love is to risk not being loved in return. To hope is to risk pain. To try is to risk failure, but risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing."

"The difference between school and life? In school, you're taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you're given a test that teaches you a lesson." -Tom Bodett

"In love, it is better to know and be disappointed, than to not know and always wonder."

"Only a life lived for others is a life worth while." -Albert Einstein

"Our attitude toward life determines life's attitude towards us." -John N. Mitchell

"I don't want to live. I want to love first, and live incidentally." -Zelda Fitzgerald

"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away"

"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children...to leave the world a better place...to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

"The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do." -Walter Bagehot

"You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection." -Buddha

"The hardest of all is learning to be a well of affection, and not a fountain, to show them that we love them, not when we feel like it, but when they do" -Nan Fairbrother

"The fact is that people are good, if only their fundamental wishes are satisfied, their wish for affection and security. Give people affection and security, and they will give affection and be secure in their feelings and their behavior." -Abraham Maslow

"A husband and wife ought to continue united so long as they love each other. Any law which should bind them to cohabitation for one moment after the decay of their affection would be a most intolerable tyranny, and the most unworthy of toleration." -Percy Bysshe Shelley

"There are two sorts of affection - the love of a woman you respect, and the love for the woman you love." -Arthur Wing Pinero

"While your friend holds you affectionately by both your hands, you are safe, for you can watch both his.” -Ambrose Bierce

"Man will do many things to get himself loved; he will do all things to get himself envied" -Mark Twain

"We know what we are, but know not what we may be." -William Shakespeare

"Love is stronger than death even though it can't stop death from happening, but no matter how hard death tries it can't separate people from love. It can't take away our memories either. In the end, life is stronger than death."

"Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live." -Norman Cousins

"Life lives, life dies. Life laughs, life cries. Life gives up and life tries. But life looks different through everyone's eyes."

"Somebody should tell us, right at the start of our lives, that we are dying. Then we might live life to the limit, every minute of every day. Do it! I say. Whatever you want to do, do it now! There are only so many tomorrows." -Pope Paul VI

“For everything you have missed, you have gained something else, and for everything you gain, you lose something else." --Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Even though we've changed and we're all finding our own place in the world, we all know that when the tears fall or the smile spreads across our face, we'll come to each other because no matter where this crazy world takes us, nothing will ever change so much to the point where we're not all still friends."

"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference." -Reinhold Niebuhr

These are just some of my favorite quotes. I'm a quote fanatic! I could sit in my room an entire day just reading quotes. I can't believe I actually remember all these took me a extremely long time. I don't care because I wanted to share them with you all. I hope you enjoyed them as much as I do.
